Work, Urban Decay and Heroes

girlofpreyHello. I've been a bit quiet lately, I know, sorry. I've been a bit worried about what I'm going to do about bills and rent and stuff without a paycheque this week, and possibly next. I've called my agency, they're looking into getting a job for me with probation again, but I won't hear anything until next week now. If I don't hear anything by Monday I'm probably going to sign on. Just to generate a bit of income. nerdcakes' birthday weekend. Oh well. I do have some money, so I'm not that worried, but I'd rather not dip into that too much, if I don't have to. We'll see, I suppose.
Today I was in town, finding out you have to make new benefits claims over the telephone rather than in the Job Centre, and trying out Urban Decay eyeshadows on the back of my hand. It looked a bit like I'd punched a clown for a little while, but it's mostly faded now. I possibly overdid one of the green ones. But they are quite lovely colours.
I also forgot to post about Heroes. It was nice to see Peter and Sylar having their own Operation Hot Mother. There are many ways the season could play out with those three that would please me. But oh, Daddy Petrelli got Peter with the touching! Classic paternal mistake. But I am wondering how they're planning to keep up this pace for the rest of the season. I know they wanted to hit the ground running with this season, which I think they did, but they seem to have done some pretty massive things, things I can't see them undoing before the end of the season, and we're only on episode 6. I'm not sure how they're going to keep this up for the next 19 (?) episodes. I get that with Peter they have to put a lot of ways for him not to just fix everything, but...I don't know, it feels like it would be nice to just give the characters and everything some breathing room. You know what would be nice? More superhero partnerships, like Hiro and Ando. Or go back to some of the conceits and ideas from Season 1. Have someone other than Niki suffer a "fracture" in their personality. Or have Peter get ill every once in a while from absorbing too many powers. Just to tie things all together a bit. That would nice.
