Also, over the past couple of days, I have figured out that it's really not the fact that the main character and Dane Vogel didn't get together and RULE THE UNIVERSE in Saints Row 2 that annoys me. I have had enough enemy pairings and could see where the game was going well enough to know that despite all my hopes, that was probably never actually going to be on the cards. It really is more that they set him up as quite a great character, and as apparently the main villain, and then just did nothing with him, really, and then just killed him.
To that end and to prove my point I have found VIDEOS on the internet. I'm going to attempt to embed, and then people who don't know anything about Saints Row 2 can either watch and care, watch and not care, not watch and not care, or if they wish to, care and not watch. But that seems unnecessarily mean to yourselves guys, the videos are right here.
Right. These are sort of massive compilations someone's made of cutscenes from throughout the game, during the gang storylines really, so there's only a certain amount of them that are really relevant.
This one is from the Brotherhood storyline, and is the first clip in the game where I think I really saw Dane Vogel. For the record, in these videos the main character is the Asian-looking woman who tends to wear white clothes. Everyone else is a character that stays the same no matter who you play as the main character as. Also, this person is using the same voice/voice performance as I did during the game, so for an added bonus you get to hear what I heard as well.
The scenes are at 4.21, then he has a brief appearance in the one at 6.41, and then at 9.13.
He is the one in the suit who everyone calls Dane Vogel.
The next video is the cutscenes from the Ronin (another gang) storyline, and his brief involvement in that. His brief, brilliant involvement.
His scenes are at 3.33, and then right after that at 5.11, and then right after that at 6.29.
I JUST THINK HE'S AMAZING AND THEY JUST THREW HIM AWAY. All I can think is that maybe they had all of their story and all of the scenes and everything written, and then they got in an amazing voice actor (Jay Mohr) who made every line AMAZING, and every joke HILARIOUS. And then there was nothing they could do. Nothing they could do.

Well, posting this turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. Anyway. Other things that have happened lately:

Well, posting this turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. Anyway. Other things that have happened lately:
- It turns out that I wasn't near to finishing the main quest in Skyrim. Not by a long chalk. Hurrah. Although most of the characters are now being cunts. Boo.
- My mouse is slightly broken, in that in won't scroll properly anymore unless I really, REALLY roll it for a long time. It's both something that seems like too little a thing to replace the whole mouse over, and something that gets really really annoying when I am trying to read my flist or twitter page or Tumblr Dashboard. Or ANYTHING. Grrr.
