girlofprey: (Heroes Niki Go-Go Not Cry-Cry)
I love Natalie Portman. If I didn't already, then

Yo.

And yo.

Yo.

Note to self: never ever leave the flist to it's own devices for more than a day at a time. It grows.

Weekend was fairly fun. Parents came down to see me, and we had Pizza from the Hut and chats and went to see Closer (finally). Which was good, but felt oddly hollow, some final meaning that just wasn't there. Hmm. Clive Owen was good though, and Natalie Portman continues to kick ass all over the shop. I <3 you, Alice. Jane. Whatever. Finished A Tale of Two Cities, which made me cry. And I never cry. Sidney Carton is quite marvellous, whether he's being sarcastic and lawyerly or strange and Christlike. I <3 the poor little seamstress. OTP! Madame DeFarge also wonderful and terrible, omg. 'Tell Wind and Fire to stop, but do not tell me'. Indeed.

Got my Kevin Coyne CD, yay! Yesterday in town, when many things were being lovely and bargainous when they know I have no money (shakes fist)! 6 copies, in all of the Virgin empire, and it would have taken 2-4 weeks at least for it to arrive, if it ever did. Went into marvellous little independent record shop, select-a-disc and found it immediately, for half the Virgin price! Am singing Jackie and Edna lots, and annoying my housemates.

Hero is out on DVD, but I am not buying yet, oh no. Waiting for Oldboy and Sea of Souls series 2 next week, to see if I can buy in bulk and make some use of my HMV money off vouchers. Waiting is not fun. Films I am looking forward to: The Chorus (again! ::dances::), League of Gentlemen: Apocalypse, Sin City (having seen the website), and Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, despite the possible Americanisation. Douglas Adams apparently helped with the screenplay, and in any case it has Sam Rockwell, who are teh foxy. Roll on release dates!

Eastenders, omg! )
