The Anna-Phelan storyline is so tiring. And I'm genuinely annoyed that they're playing Sally running for the council mostly for comedy. I know she has a lot of weird ideas about the 'less fortunate' in society, but most politicians are weird, and Sally's the type of person who never doubts herself and sometimes uses that lack of doubt to shield and genuinely help other people. And I think she could be an amazing local councillor. And I was genuinely hoping that was (partly) where they were going with the storyline when it started. But apparently they're not.

Oh my God, the storyline with Kevin is so uncomfortable. But I'm so here for super-councillor Sally Metcalfe. And I think maybe Carla should just run away with the detective woman and have done with it.

Coronation Street have been doing really well at making weddings beautiful this year.

I've been defending Sally to people on the Soap Podcast (my episode of which is coming out this Friday, apparently), and I always liked her but now I love her almost the most, it was so nice to hear Tim be like "I'm marrying you because you're obviously the best". And the ending was just - the perfect callback to their usual tradition at weddings. AAAHHHH! I love Sally and Tim.

Also, I'm feeling pretty sorry for Carla, who seemed like she got to run her factory alongside another person who liked her and wasn't a twat for a while. And now this. Does 'Johnny' even know about knickers?
